Latest Kuhn sprayer holds 3,800 litres

The Lexis 3800 is the latest trailed sprayer from Kuhn. With a 3,800-litre nominal capacity it is the largest in the company’s three-model range of trailed sprayers.Maximum length is 6.90m, overall width is 2.55m and unladen weight just over three tonnes. Aluminium booms with working widths up to 28m are available. To help reduce soil compaction 1.85m diameter tyres are fitted and very high flexion tyres are optional. The Manuset manual rinse system is offered. This has two main valves that are operated from the control station. Multifunction handwheels reduce handling operations by up to 50%. During rinsing, a complete turn of the delivery-circuit handwheel directs water drawn in by the pump into all sprayer circuits. The rinsing-tank level gauge, visible from the workstation, also helps easy sequencing while rinsing. The new sprayer is also available with Diluset+ which assists with filling and dilution of residual volumes.Spraying can be operated using Kuhn’s CANbus control box, a CCI 800 or 1200, or any other ISObus terminal. The shape of the sprayer’s tank keeps the centre of gravity low which helps maintain stability when the track width is reduced or when spraying on gradients. The tow-eye to axle distance of 4.30m, coupled with the Track Assist gyroscopic steering drawbar system, helps improves tracking in the tractor wheels. The Lexis 3800 can be fitted with CCE individual nozzle control, Autospray PWM technology or the Boom Assist Extreme contour control system. Kuhn’s CCI Connect solutions and MyKuhn portal also provide remote access to the machine and operational and application data. For more up-to-date farming news click here and subscribe now to profi for just £3.99 an issue. by Jonathan Theobold
