Indian manufacturer Shaktiman already offers a fixed chamber round baler but the SRBV-160 at Agritechnica is its first variable chamber model.Developed for the European market, bale diameter is from 50cm-1.6m and width is 1.20m. Developed for all crops, the 3.3t baler has electronic net binding and hydraulic density control, and is available with a rotor or 14-knife chopper. Two different pick-up widths are available and the tyres are of the size 19.0/45-17.Shaktiman sees potential to grow its baler business. It already has a conventional square baler and is currently working on its first large square version. The plans is to have something to show at the Italian EIMA show in November next year.
